This 2 day training workshop will equip you with the basic skills needed to plan, implement and maintain an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on the ISO 14001 and EMAS standards.

Who should attend?

The course is aimed at those with responsibility for planning and implementing an EMS.

Content
    1. The purpose and structure of an EMS
    2. Environmental review - identifying the key environmental issues in your business
    3. Identifying and evaluating environmental aspects and impacts
    4. Compiling a register of applicable environmental laws
    5. Writing an Environmental Policy which drives improvement
    6. Establishing an environmental improvement programme
    7. Identifying training requirements
    8. Documenting the EMS
    9. Achieving accreditation to ISO14001 and/or EMAS

The tutor will use a combination of short tutorials and practical workshops to illustrate the essential features and requirements of the ISO 14001 standard, and to provide hands-on practical experience of the steps involved in implementing ISO 14001.

Sessions will be informal with the the active participation of delegates encouraged, contributing to a lively and informative training experience.

    • establish an improvement programme.
